About Dr. Burke

Dr. Burke is the founder and director of the Michigan Center for Cosmetic Surgery. He has a world wide professional reputation as a surgeon, educator and journal editor. He is on the clinical faculty of the University of Michigan and Michigan State University. He strives to keep current in all aspects of cosmetic surgery through regular workshops, ongoing research, and scientific presentations. He is an examiner for the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. His patients love his skills and the personal touch provided by him and his staff. Many of his patients have referred their family and friends.

Dr. Burke is a regular contributor to the medical scientific literature. He serves as Breast Surgery section editor for the American Journal of Cosmetic Surgery and Maxillofacial Surgery section editor for the International Journal of Cosmetic Surgery. He has won the American Association of Orthodontics Award of Special Merit for his research on the lateral pterygoid muscle. He regularly presents scientific papers at national cosmetic surgery meetings. His 2008 presentations at the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery annual meeting in Orlando , Florida were :

Dr. Burke completed a 7 year study of the teardrop shaped saline breast implant and presented his final results at the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery annual scientific meeting in Orlando Florida.

Dr.Burke was Elected Trustee of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery at the twenty fourth annual meeting in Orlando, Florida January, 2008.
