Laser Resurfacing

This procedure, also known as the laser peel, is used to remove facial wrinkles, age spots, scars, discoloration, and sun damaged skin. A carbon dioxide (CO2) laser is used to remove damaged skin of the face layer by layer. A beam of light energy vaporizes the upper levels of damaged skin at computer controlled specific levels of penetration. Following removal of the outer layers of damaged skin, new cells form as the area heals resulting in smoother, tighter, more youthful appearing skin.
