Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is performed in our office using the Mega Peel unit. This unit utilizes inert crystals to improve skin appearance and reduce signs of aging. Frequently referred to as the lunch time peel, the procedure takes 30-45 minutes. A special hand piece gently vacuums crystals on the surface of the skin, removing superficial, old, dead and flaking skin cells while stimulating the production of collagen and new skin cells. This is ideal for those wishing to improve skin appearance and reduce the signs of aging. Scarring, age spots, pigment problems, mild acne scarring, and mild wrinkles may also be treated.

Many will notice a difference after the first treatment, although additional treatments are necessary in order to achieve the desired results. Periodic maintenance treatment will help maintain your results.

For those wishing to maximize their treatments, we offer a glycolic enhanced megapeel. Here, a neutralized solution of glycolic acid is applied to the skin surface and later removed immediately prior to the microdermbrasion treatment. Treatment and maintenance results will also be improved through the use of specific skin products recommended by our staff. We carry the M.D. Forte and Cellex-C products.
